Good afternoon 8th grade band families,
Please save the date for our in-person Bands in Review concert for the evening of Monday March 21, 2022 at Hill Auditorium in downtown Ann Arbor. This is not the original date on the band calendar, and was changed due to the district moving the concert to Hill. More information will be coming to you very soon about time, number of audience members per performer, and other logistics. Our portion of the evening concert will include performances by the Tappan and Slauson 8th grade bands, and the Pioneer bands.
Dress for students is formal concert attire: white dress shirts, black dress pants/skirts, black dress shoes/socks. Dress to impress! If your student needs any uniform items provided, please let us know.
Attendance for this concert is mandatory. We understand that the date change may result in a conflict for some families. Every band member is important and we need to know ASAP if someone will be absent so we can make adjustments and ensure all parts are covered. We ask that you make every effort to resolve scheduling conflicts as this is our biggest performance of the year. If you believe you may have an event that conflicts with Bands in Review, please contact Ms. Stout at stoutl@aaps.k12.mi.us.
Final logistic details are forthcoming. We are so excited for your students to have the opportunity to perform at Hill Auditorium and for our first live concert since winter 2019!
