Welcome to the 2021-22 School Year!

CategoriesUncategorized

We are so excited to begin another fantastic school year in Tappan band! We know that this is an extraordinary year, and that students and families have many questions about how band class will work at Tappan.

Instruments

  • Students do not need instruments the first day of school. Further communication will come on what day we will begin playing.
  • If you currently have a Tappan owned instrument, you will receive more information on the first day of school about next steps.
  • Click this link and scroll down for information about renting/purchasing an instrument.
  • As always, large instruments that are not allowed on the school buses (french horn, euphonium, tuba, bassoon, bass clarinet, tenor sax, bari sax) will be provide for both at home and school use.

COVID protocols (instrument masks and bell covers)

We will continue the practice this year of using instrument masks and bell covers to safely rehearse together. These will be provided by the school, however if your student has them from last year, they may bring them and use them for rehearsal.

Concerts & Events

More information about concerts and events will be coming soon!

Schoology

We will continue to use schoology for assignments, grading, and more.
